It is unforgivable to leave Ekaterinburg without buying any souvenirs! Such a wide range of stones you won't find anywhere else! You can buy things made of the Urals stones in a special store "Kamennye Veshi" (Stone Things) and on the market of the craftsmen, which is situated in the public garden not far from the Square of 1905.

Moreover in the stores you can have a full consultation. The seller on the market usually sell things but not make them themselves that is why they don·t know much about this or that stone. However that range and the fantastic designs will impress you and we advice visiting the market. It is easy to find it: on the main Square under the big advertising screen there is a public garden and the market is in it. It is a usual situation when you bargain on the market and as a rule the sellers reduce the price for 5·10% but not more. For most of the sellers it doesn·t matter who you are · a foreigner or not, that is why don·t be afraid that you will overpay. The things of the Urals stones are quite cheap as they are made in the region where they are extracted. Necklaces, boxes with a salamander on the top, which is considered to be the symbol of the Urals, rings, brooches, bracelets, bijouterie, different articles made of stone · all this may impress you imagination to such a degree that you will immediately have a desire to buy everything. Don't hurry, walk to the end of the market, may be you will have a better proposal. It is better to buy traditional Russian souvenirs in the stores. Only there you will be able to have a true Russian souvenir but not a cheap imitation. Visit the stores "TZUM" and "Passage" not far from the Square of 1905 and in the department of souvenirs on the first floor you will be able to buy something that you will really like.

You won·t have any problems on the Customs with the Urals souvenirs, if you won·t try to take with you things made of gold and other precious metals, ancient Russian Icons and other precious things that require a special permission form the Ministry of Culture.
